Join us for a comprehensive presentation and program update from the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing (HIRE) Vets Medallion Program Manager, Randall Smith. Mr. Smith will provide a walk-through of the program and updates in preparation for the 2019 program year. You will learn the importance of the HIRE Vets Medallion program and its relationship to your work with employers who are seeking talent to fill job openings. This exciting initiative highlights employers who support veterans with their commitment to recruit, employ, and retain our nation’s veterans. It also gives those who assist veterans an additional resource by identifying employers who are looking for and ready to hire our veterans. Mr. Smith will also answer pre-submitted questions.

Hear from Deputy Assistant Secretary Miller about the role and importance of professional development for workforce staff serving veterans and explore the wellspring of professional development resources offered by the National Veterans' Training Institute (NVTI) for JVSG state staff! Mr. Miller will also answer questions.

Dr. Toney will guide you through the training structure which includes prerequisite eLearning and in-person classroom courses, training objectives for each course, and a demonstration of navigation in the NVTI Student Central portal. After participating in the event, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the new NVTI JVSG curriculum and how to navigate NVTI Student Central portal..
