Training

Training those who serve veterans.

For more than 30 years, NVTI has trained a variety of veterans’ employment and training professionals, including employment service personnel, veterans service organization leaders, Federal and State staff, Department of Defense personnel, Native American groups that work with veterans, county veterans’ service representatives, and others.

NVTI was established in November 1986 and authorized in 1988 by P.L. 100-323. The Employment and Training Reporter, Volume 18, from 1986 reported DOL VETS was piloting two training courses for DVOP specialists and LVER staff. The courses were held the week of November 30, 1986, and the week of December 14, 1986, respectively.

Under Title 38, Sec. 4109 USC, NVTI is bound by law to provide specialized training to specific groups. While NVTI does not work directly with veterans, we train the personnel who help veterans find and retain gainful employment.

Through our partnership with Management Concepts, NVTI proudly offers a well-organized learning ecosystem designed to deliver top-quality training to veteran service providers, supervisors, and managers. To learn more about the valuable resources available within NVTI’s Learning Ecosystem, check out our Learning Ecosystem document and explore the resources at NVTI.org.
